About The Position

The Agricultural Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships while identifying, recommending, and selling agricultural equipment solutions that meet customer needs. This role serves as a trusted advisor by providing product expertise, conducting demonstrations, and supporting customers throughout the sales process. The position contributes to the dealership’s success by achieving sales goals, expanding market share, and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Prior experience in agricultural equipment sales and/or agricultural business management is required. A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn are highly valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of an assigned territory.
  • Ability to assess customer needs and provide practical, solution-based recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn dealership systems (CRM, quoting tools, etc.).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of farming practices and agricultural operations is strongly preferred; firsthand farm experience is a significant advantage.
  • Technical aptitude with agricultural equipment; experience with Precision Agriculture (Precision Ag) technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent the company in the sale of agricultural equipment within an assigned territory or product group.
  • Manage the sale of new and used agricultural tractors, implements, and related equipment.
  • Create, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships to support long-term business growth.
  • Follow and execute a defined sales process to effectively manage leads, opportunities, and closing activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of agricultural equipment, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Monitor and report on competitive products, pricing, and market activity.
  • Analyze customer trends and business conditions to identify sales opportunities and risks.
  • Evaluate used equipment for trade-in and resale, including market positioning and pricing.
  • Develop an understanding of available financing and leasing options to support customer purchasing decisions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct product demonstrations, customer clinics, and field events.
  • Participate in local trade shows, dealership events, and other promotional activities.
  • Travel as required to meet with customers, evaluate equipment, and attend training sessions, including occasional off-site training
