About The Position

THE ROLE Lead groups of students through structured competitive sports, games, and activities based on the Elevo curriculum. Engage students in competitive sports including basketball, volleyball, soccer, flag football, kickball, and more. Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with students, families, and school staff. Support kids’ behavioral management needs with empathy and patience. Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches. Lead outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning. Serve as a positive role model to help build kids’ self-esteem and emotional wellness.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
• Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
• Confidently manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance.
• Can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed.
• Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids and families.
• Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
• Ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently within allocated timeframes.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
• A minimum of 1 year of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused roles strongly preferred.
• Must have previous experience in coaching or officiating competitive sports.
• Must have reliable transportation.
