About The Position

The Aftermarket Sales Specialist is responsible for selling products and providing guidance about products to new and existing customers all around the world.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office products, including CRM.
  • Knowledge and ability in navigating and utilizing ERP.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Associate’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent in work experience is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear and talk.
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands.
  • The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • This position may be required to work long hours extending into the weekends on some occasions.
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to 10% to international and domestic sites for sales, installation, and customer service support.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/MBA is preferred for advancement.
  • Experience with heavily engineered custom equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential Retech customers focusing primarily on their production facilities.
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepare contracts and submit orders.
  • Estimating, quoting, and providing credit terms/bid specifications to clients for aftermarket spare parts and upgrades for existing systems.
  • Travel to customers’ sites on an agreed upon schedule to learn about potential aftermarket opportunities to benefit each customer’s existing furnaces or production needs.
  • Represent Retech professionally in front of customers and others throughout the VME industry.
  • Communicating customers’ potential capital equipment expenditure plans to management.
  • Gather important feedback from the site maintenance and operating personnel on what they like and don’t like about Retech’s furnaces as well as our competitor’s equipment.
  • Apply knowledge of product features to match potential retrofit/upgrades to the needs of clients.
  • Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
  • Direct customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and delivery condition of products to the appropriate internal party.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, shipping, operations, engineering, and other staff members to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide relevant information to support both annual and monthly business forecast requirements.
  • Function as a team player working within the entire Retech business to drive overall results toward desired targets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
