About The Position

Works on the aftermarket planning team to provide support for Textron Aviation’s global service center network, responsible for the successful execution of aftermarket modification and scheduled maintenance through the effective planning and coordination of information, materials, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a technical or business related field
  • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of professional work experience in related aircraft maintenance or troubleshooting field or an A&P License + 3 years of aircraft maintenance or troubleshooting experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding in the operations of standard office equipment and Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work well with engineering documents and Parts ordering systems including: EEDS, SAP, Lawson and CEDARS.
  • Possesses good organization and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, goal oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time sensitive responsibilities
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to work in team environment

Responsibilities

  • Works concurrently with engineering to analyze detail and assembly blueprints and determines material, parts, and tooling needed to support interior refurbishments, avionics, and other modification projects, as well as routine maintenance per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual.
  • Works with Aftermarket Innovation, Sales, Engineering, and Sales Ops to create planning for aftermarket mods, interior refurbs, and scheduled maintenance programs.
  • Creates and updates work instructions, supplemental planning, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and task lists in SAP/iMRO for STCs, modifications, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Researches external and internal parts, including Make/Buy decisions, and material cost and availability to determine procurement means to support interior refurbishment and modification projects.
  • Coordinates interior refurbishment and modification information to create planning packages used for installation using Project Coordination Form (PCF).
  • Coordinates with engineering and Service Centers to resolve drawing and/or installation issues.
  • Estimates time and material standards to support interior refurbishment and modification inquiries.
  • Works with cross-functional personnel to analyze and solve modification and service flow issues stemming from sequence of work, balance of tasks, tooling/equipment constraints, and manpower allocation/training.
  • Interacts effectively with external departments and internal team members to ensure successful completion of interior refurbishment and modification projects.
  • Performs special assignments as required.
  • Issue’s PO’s (purchase orders) and SAO (Supplemental Aircraft Orders) as needed.
