About The Position

As our Aftermarket Mechanical Assembler, you’ll join a team of talented individuals focused on bringing units back from the field, tearing them down, and rebuilding them into remanufactured Seakeepers. You’ll ensure these projects are completed efficiently and provide the highest quality resources for our Aftermarket Operations by: Maintaining quality/ process standards to produce products within specifications Leading special projects for the aftermarket department Verifying components by measuring and visually inspecting completed components; rejecting and immediately reporting products outside test and quality specifications Operating an industrial truck and/or electric hoist for loading or moving materials and products Cleaning work area, machines, and equipment using brooms, rags, and cleaning compound to assist machine operators Following standard operating and safety procedures Preparing and assembling Seakeeper sphere and foundation sub-assemblies, utilizing build stands, overhead hoists, and various hand and power tools Assembling, balancing, and testing parts/components efficiently within the allowed time standard by fastening parts, and sub-assemblies Anticipating required supplies and notifying the manager for placing and expediting material orders Completing standard production and quality forms as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficient in troubleshooting/problem-solving
  • Ability to read, understand, and assemble items with the aid of blueprints as the primary tool
  • Willingness to gain knowledge of processes to manufacture, inspect, assemble, and test throughout the completion of product
  • Ability to take detailed and clear notes that can be retrieved and understood by all managers
  • Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and adhere to standard operating procedures and job safety parameters
  • Be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible, and pay close attention to detail
  • Possess conceptual, process improvement, functional and technical skills
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) fluently in English
  • Able to prioritize tasks within the department and act in a flexible and positive manner toward tasks at hand
  • Desire and ability to work autonomously and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  • Stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  • Use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  • Visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  • Distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as depth mics, snap mics, and temperature gauges
