About The Position

The Aftermarket Customer Support Representative will effectively drive retail parts and service sales by building customer relationships and satisfaction in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives. A successful candidate needs to display confidence, be driven to succeed, have effective communication skills, and have a team player mentality. This role also requires critical decision-making skills and a desire to continuously improve and strive towards excellence in the Aftermarket business.

Requirements

  • Must be a self-starter that independently maintains a high level of motivation with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of database software, online parts books, etc. and ability to use standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain rapport with key accounts.
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment and dealership operations.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of Sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide value to our customers and cultivate positive relationships by selling Parts and Service solutions that meet their specific needs.
  • Support all product lines offered by the organization.
  • Promote and market all Parts and Service promotions of the organization to increase customer participation and achieve aftermarket goals.
  • Increase store sales by fostering growth with both existing and new customers, emphasizing sales opportunities for both John Deere and competing brand equipment.
  • Promptly follow up with customers and deliver sound advice to help their business.
  • Fill out call reports for each customer visit using dealership systems.
  • Communicate customer concerns to the appropriate department manager at the location when needed.
  • Profile customer’s fleet of equipment and updates in dealership systems.
  • Participates in customer clinics and provides limited technical support where applicable.
  • Provide backup support on the front counter during planting and harvest as needed.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by Management.
