About The Position
St. Mark’s Episcopal School is looking for enthusiastic After School Tutors to join our team. In this role, you will provide academic support to students in 5th through 8th grade in small group or one-on-one settings. Our goal is to help students build confidence, master core subjects, and develop effective study habits.
Requirements
- 18+ years old.
- 2 years of college in core subject.
- Experience tutoring with children.
Nice To Haves
- Education background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with homework assignments, projects, and test preparation in subjects such as Math, Language Arts, Science, etc.
- Identify learning gaps and create supplemental activities to strengthen foundational skills.
- Maintain brief notes on students' progress.
- Serve as a positive role model, encouraging a “growth mindset” and academic resilience.
- Ensure a focused and productive learning environment.
