Overview After School Tutor Part-time | East Orange, NJ Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 3:00-5:00pm Program dates: February 10 - April 2 Hourly rate: $35/hr Catapult Learning is seeking After School Tutors to work with 3rd-5th grade students at an East Orange performing arts elementary school. The after-school program is 3 days a week, Tuesday-Thursday for 2 hours.
Requirements
- NJ Teaching certificate (CE at minimum)
- Bachelors degree
- Teaching/tutoring experience
- Proficient in MS Office, OneDrive, Zoom, etc
- All programs are in-school settings
Responsibilities
- Be their advocate, difference maker, and mentor.
- Attends training sessions, passes content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students through utilization of Company-designed materials and educational strategies.
- Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
- Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
