About The Position

Grant Funded After School Internship Tutor Reports To : Administrator/Program Coordinator in Unicycle/bicycle Grant funded after school programs Position Purpose: Provide academic enrichment to improve student learning

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be a student teacher, retired teacher, social work, psychology, counseling or related services intern
• Must be reliable and punctual and able to commit to 2-10 hours per week not to exceed a 40 hour work week (e.g., hours are added to current hours and can not exceed 40 total hours per week)
• Knowledgeable about technology, remediation/enrichment activities, and children
• Willingness to meet the individual academic needs of children through differentiated approaches
• Knowledgeable about and understand District policies and procedures
• For new hires, the daily hours would not exceed 5 and the weekly hours would not exceed 25.

Nice To Haves

• Speaking and understanding Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide individual/small group instruction under the direction of a certified teacher
• Review instructional materials and processes prior to conducting student lessons
• Provide data as requested to after-school coordinator
• The performance responsibilities are not limited to those outlined in this description and may include any other responsibilities as assigned by the administrator/program coordinator.
