About The Position

BBSI is currently recruiting an instructor for our client's After School program, working with children and youth after school hours. This position represents a vital part in giving parents peace of mind that their children will be looked after and supported while enjoying after school enrichment activities. The after school program runs Monday-Friday from 1pm-5:30pm during the school year, for a total of 20-24 hours each week. In summer months, there is a possibility of 40 hours per week. Additionally, there is the opportunity for work on holidays when schools are closed. Regular attendance is extremely important to ensure children and parents have consistency in teachers. Prior experience working with children as a teacher or instructor, as well as an understanding of their developmental stages and needs is necessary for this role. Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and similar software.
  • Ability to maintain regular availability for work throughout the year.
  • Education, experience, or training in early childhood development.
  • Previous experience working as an instructor, teacher, or coach is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish (desired).

Responsibilities

  • Instruct children in a variety of activities using program curriculum.
  • Create daily lesson plans for groups.
  • Coordinate outside guest speakers and educators attending the program.
  • Maintain monthly calendar of events and lesson plans.
  • Record data as directed by program management.
