We’re hiring After School Group Leaders for our Kamakau Hawaiian Language Immersion Program in Kāneʻohe, where ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi is not a subject—it’s the foundation of everything we do. In this role, you’ll create a space where keiki can live, play, and grow in Hawaiian language and culture every afternoon. Requirements
- Fluent in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (required)
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
- Reliable, positive, and team-oriented
- 18+ with a high school diploma or GED
- Able to reliably commute to Kāneʻohe (Kamakau)
Responsibilities
- Guide keiki (ages 5–10) through engaging activities—games, crafts, and outdoor play—all through ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.
- Use ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi consistently to create a true immersion environment where students build confidence and fluency.
- Help with homework, encourage positive behavior, and create a space where every child feels seen and supported.
- Use active supervision to maintain a structured, secure, and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with fellow leaders to create smooth, engaging, and meaningful afternoons.
