POSITION DESCRIPTION PIMCO is looking to hire a Multi-Family Housing investment professional to join its growing affordable housing lending team based in Newport Beach, CA. The candidate will assist in underwriting, analyzing, and monitoring transactions for various PIMCO funds and alternative strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution demonstrating strong academic credentials
  • Underwriting multifamily affordable housing debt and/or equity
  • Experience in originating, servicing, and asset management
  • Execution experience, with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Capable of managing commercial relationships
  • Strong work ethic and integrity, candidate should be a team player that is proactive and self-motivated
  • Entrepreneurial spirit – a desire to find new solutions and improve the team investment process

Responsibilities

  • Support transactions throughout their lifecycle: origination, underwriting, managing due diligence processes, negotiations of transaction documentation, and asset management, including follow-on acquisitions and exits
  • Actively monitor key performance indicators, property and financial performance, market conditions, servicing and administration of project draws/fundings
  • Proactively identify any potential credit/market risks as well as proposed solutions associated with portfolio investments
  • Support the preparation of investment memoranda to be presented to PIMCO investment committees
  • Build and enhance portfolio reporting, analytical activities, and stress testing
  • Contribute to thematic reviews and strategic research for investment theses
