About The Position

The Department of Psychology, Brigham Young University, invites applicants to fill two unpaid, part-time affiliate appointments to support an interview-based research project. The selected candidates will demonstrate strong experience in operations and program leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication, with a proven ability to collaborate in a team environment. Preferred background includes one or more of the following: corporate training and facilitation, high-performance or executive coaching, qualitative or interview-based research exposure, compliance-minded documentation practices, and experience supporting student learning pathways or educational programs. The candidates should demonstrate excellent writing, organization, and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with faculty and PhD students. These affiliate appointments are intended to support an existing collaboration with the BYU research team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; graduate degree preferred. (MBA, MHR, or related). The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Demonstrate strong experience in operations and program leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with faculty and PhD students
  • Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment

  • Demonstrate intentionality in building faith in Jesus Christ and testimony of His restored gospel among students and others in the BYU community

  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with the BYU research team to refine research aims and intended outcomes
  • Supporting development of study procedures and interview guides
  • Sitting in on and supporting interviews alongside BYU PhD students
  • Assisting with participant coordination and research logistics as needed
  • Contributing to documentation, synthesis of themes, and preparation of written summaries and research outputs in alignment with IRB requirements
  • Supporting consistent research workflows
  • Supporting clear internal communication
  • Supporting high-quality organization of project materials
