About The Position

The Religious Studies and Theology Department at Regis University is seeking Affiliate Faculty to teach accelerated (8-week terms), online-asynchronous courses in Health Care Ethics. Contracts are issued per course. Continued teaching contracts are not guaranteed.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, religious studies, health care ethics, moral theology, or an equivalent degree is required.

Nice To Haves

• A doctoral degree in philosophy, ethics, philosophy of religion, religious studies, health care ethics, or moral theology and prior teaching experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Affiliate faculty teach online courses in healthcare ethics.
• A completed course shell and syllabus are provided.
• Faculty deliver recorded virtual lectures, actively engage with student posts on the discussion board, respond to student questions, and provide feedback and grade assignments.
• Faculty hold 1 ½ virtual office hours per week.

Benefits

• This position is benefits-eligible for workers’ compensation and will receive 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
