About The Position

Obtain cryo-ET 3d images of chromatin structures. This includes preparing samples, recording tilt-series, calculating 3d reconstructions, producing sub-tomogram averages, building integrative atomic models, and writing papers and grants. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in microbiology, cell biology, or structural biology
  • Experience with cell culture and molecular biology.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with cryo-ET theory and practice including cryo-FIB milling.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Good reasoning, social, writing, and verbal skills.
  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
