About The Position

Clients leverage our network of quality professionals in more than 50 countries as an extension of their own supplier quality teams. We are seeking an experienced Aerostructure-Mechanical Inspector - 2nd Shift Lead to ensure that final products meet drawing requirements and specifications and lead a team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and documenting damage or nonconformance issues and conducting thorough investigations.

Requirements

  • Must have Aircraft structures and/or sheet metal inspection experience
  • Need to exhibit leadership skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable drawings
  • Familiarity with AS9102
  • Knowledge with nonconformance investigation
  • Previous experience inspecting mechanical parts
  • Proficiency with product verification to drawing requirements
  • Strong communication and technology skills
  • Must be local
  • Must undergo background check
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be ITAR compliant and willing to undergo a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that final products meet drawing requirements and specifications through thorough inspection processes
  • Lead for the shift that attends management meetings and helps the inspectors with Q&A
  • Report to the Inspection Supervisor and collaborate effectively as part of the inspection team
  • Identify and document any damage or nonconformance issues and conduct investigations into these discrepancies.
  • In-process and final inspections of sheet metal final assembly installations on aircraft components such as fuselage, wings, flaps, landing gears, and tail assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate inspection logs, write detailed inspection reports, and handle a variety of moderately complex tasks
  • Frequent collaboration with individuals from other departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met
