About The Position

Aerospace Transparencies Fabrication Supervisor Step onto the production floor and lead a team crafting Aerospace Transparency materials and parts. From the first safety huddle to the final WIP update, you’ll guide people, processes, and performance to deliver products that meet stringent customer expectations while advancing PPG’s corporate initiatives and departmental goals. Compensation: $69,000 – $115,000, depending on experience. A day in the role Start with safety: sustain a safe operating environment and provide hands-on support to the team. Align work for the day: confirm resources are in place so production targets can be met. Walk the line: coach on quality, delivery, cost, and inventory performance expectations; resolve issues quickly. Reinforce standards: uphold 5S, eliminate waste, and apply Lean and SPC principles on the floor. Develop people: train and cross-train, maintain proficiency records, and recognize high performers. Manage the details: approve and manage daily timecards; drive productivity and engagement goals. Staff smartly: recommend staffing levels based on demand and maintain accurate employee records. Control costs: oversee inventory usage, material consumption, overtime, and accurate WIP movement reporting. Assess capabilities: evaluate skills, coach as needed, and address related performance issues. Keep equipment ready: ensure proper maintenance of equipment, tooling, and availability of supplies and tools. What you’ll lead and influence Collaborative execution across supervisors and managers to meet customer requirements. Clear communication of data and expectations; hold teams accountable to company policies. Consistent attainment of daily production targets with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in those settings.
  • Minimum of 5 years in leadership or as a manufacturing supervisor (or equivalent).
