Job Overview & Responsibilities As an Aerospace Production Technician - CNC Machinist at United Launch Alliance, responsibilities include: Set-up and operation of large CNC Spin Form Machines and Heat Treat Ovens for spinning of precision aluminum plate stock to produce high quality production hardware. Knowledge of CNC programming. 3 to 5 axis Metal Forming machining/turning. Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities at any given work assignment, which may include, but is not limited to, the following:Use a broad range of multi-level skills and abilities to manufacture products as designated by the company. Operate basic machine shop support equipment such as, but not limited to, overhead cranes and forklifts. Maintain certifications required to perform assigned work Must have knowledge of speeds and feeds for machine cutters. Must be willing to work flexible work schedules and work hours. Work to specified tolerances and finishes to achieve blueprint specification of large-scale parts. Determine finishing requirements and prescribe in proper sequence the operations required and the methods and/or equipment necessary to accomplish the finishing of surfaces (deburring, wash booths, etc.). Perform periodic maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment in order to ensure proper fluid levels, cleanliness and travel of moving parts on all machinery. Maintain schedule metrics relating to maintenance procedures and/or problems and malfunctions that arise during assigned shift. This role is for Weekend Day shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (3x12) Training will take place on Weekday Day shift Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
