About The Position

The individual in this position will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment for R&D studies, as well as maintaining key infrastructure required for aerospace physiology R&D studies. WHAT YOU WILL DO The successful candidate will be hands-on, people oriented, and have knowledge of mechanics and mechanical systems, especially those pertaining to aircraft, flight, and flight simulators. The selected candidate will learn the ins and outs of key equipment used for flight simulation, perform routine inspections and maintenance, and proactively report issues that could lead to test apparatus failures. The ideal candidate will also coordinate between human subjects, researchers, and clinical research coordinators to enable and facilitate R&D studies.

Requirements

  • Associates in engineering or engineering technology or related field + 5 Years of Experience OR certified mechanic or related field + 5 Years of Experience OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
