Our components support commercial and business aviation, military aircraft and vehicles, spacecraft, and aftermarket repair & overhaul programs. A day in this role Based in Oconomowoc or Menomonee Falls, WI , you’ll begin your shift by reviewing sketches, set-up documentation, and routing instructions. You’ll configure and operate CO2 , YAG , and flat-cut laser systems to machine precision parts, then closely watch the run to catch any irregularities. As parts come off the machine, you’ll validate dimensions using micrometers , pin gauges , and vernier calipers , deburr where needed, and document anything out of tolerance—such as process drift, sequence issues, or finish anomalies—so the team can act quickly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of related laser machining/manufacturing experience or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret sketches, set-up sheets, and related work instructions to plan laser operations.
  • Start and monitor laser machining, identifying malfunctions or out-of-spec conditions in real time.
  • Report process variations, sequence concerns, and dimensional or surface deviations promptly.
  • Verify part conformance with precision gauges (micrometers, pin gauges, vernier calipers).
  • Perform deburring to meet finish and fit requirements.
