About The Position

This Aerospace Engineer Co-op position involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team. The primary focus will be on conducting material characterization of novel aerospace materials. The co-op will engage in thermal, mechanical, and aerodynamic studies of various aerospace material systems under realistic environmental conditions. This includes performing performance analysis for material prototypes, which may involve simulating both material parameters and test conditions. Additionally, the role requires participation in team meetings to provide feedback, which will help in adjusting test plans based on findings, contributing to the continuous improvement of test processes.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate aerospace related engineering program
Strong academic record, sophomore standing or higher
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX) and engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB)
Good communication skills and ability to work in team-oriented environments
Qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction
Current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements (for some positions)
