In this role, you will be responsible for writing, validating, and maintaining organizational-level maintenance technical publications for the F-35 aircraft. You will apply your working knowledge of aircraft, mechanical, and airframe systems, as well as airplane structure, to create publications that support the F-35 operational fleets. You will read and interpret engineering, supplier, and customer documentation, and interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, engineering teams, and other organizations to define and document aircraft maintenance requirements daily. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics' Technical Publications Authoring Systems, which utilize Extensible Markup Language (XML) and learn the authoring systems and use desktop publishing tools to create new manuals or update and publish revised or changed material. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of how to interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability in technical writing.
  • Familiar with aircraft maintenance. Familiar with Avionics.
  • Familiar with S1000D standards and using Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML)/Extensible Markup Language (XML), SGML/XML Authoring
  • Familiar with F-35 Engineering and Logistics systems experience (JDL - JSF Data Library, PDM - Product Data Manager, ATLAS - Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System, VAS - Visual Augmentation System)

Responsibilities
