We have an immediate opening for a Aerospace Internship to support Automated Battle Management Aids for the MDA DCX office in Huntsville, AL Exposure to and Participation in the following activities: Support the analysis effort for MDA's Joint Tactical Integrated Fire Control (JTIFC) architecture Collaborate with Systems Software Engineers to develop algorithms for software tool automation Assist with and lead software tool creation, using C++, MATLAB, and Python programming languages Interface with industry leading JTIFC analysis software, developed by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab and Numerica Corporation Participate in periodic program reviews and technical presentations to Government stakeholders

Requirements

  • Completed Junior Year of BS degree in computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Desire to work on complex system-of-systems analysis problems utilizing genetic algorithms, machine learning, artificial intelligence (e.g., deep reinforcement learning), sliding mode controller/observer, as well as traditional analysis, optimization, and controller synthesis techniques
  • Can do attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Army Program Office Engineering Team is preferred
  • Experience with modeling, simulation and analysis
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team
  • C++ that will be used alongside python + MATLAB

Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis effort for MDA's Joint Tactical Integrated Fire Control (JTIFC) architecture
  • Collaborate with Systems Software Engineers to develop algorithms for software tool automation
  • Assist with and lead software tool creation, using C++, MATLAB, and Python programming languages
  • Interface with industry leading JTIFC analysis software, developed by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab and Numerica Corporation
