Inertial Aerospace, a HEICO Company is hiring an Aerospace Electronics Technician to join our Production team. Inertial Aerospace has decades of experience in the aviation industry and continues to be the leader in the repair of inertial navigation equipment and aircraft avionics. The company was acquired by HEICO Corporation in 2001 and continues to play a critical role within the industry known for its innovation. This position will be located at our Highland Heights, OH Facility and will require training on first shift for up to 6 months. Once proficient, work hours would be 2:00pm to 10:30pm and a $1.00/hour shift differential will apply.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years troubleshooting and repairing electronic components.
  • Basic knowledge of blueprints and/or schematics.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
  • Position is safety sensitive and is subject to pre-employment drug screening, background check, and random drug-testing program after employed.
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Sufficient computer skills
  • Knowledge of using an MRP system such as Pentagon
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good communication and Organizational skill

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Associate Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in an aviation environment and/or an ISO regulated facility
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electronic and electromechanical systems.
  • Previous experience operating DMM, oscilloscope as well as manual and automated test equipment.
  • Understanding of Component Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.

Responsibilities

  • The successful applicant will be self-motivated with attention to detail and possess the ability to work efficiently both with a team and independently.
  • Position involves testing, troubleshooting and repair of inertial navigation equipment.
  • Candidate will troubleshoot and repair inertial navigation systems utilizing computerized test equipment, standard electronic equipment and hand tools along with detailed drawings, schematics, parts lists, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Accurate completion of maintenance, inventory, and repair logs is required.
  • Includes use of a variety of hand or power tools and test equipment.
  • Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
