About The Position

Davis Tool has an immediate opening for an aerospace assembler. The successful candidate will have experience translating customer specifications and assembly drawings into complex and high-detail mechanical and electrical assemblies. Qualified applicants will have experience working within stringent customer and AS9100 specifications. This is an experienced-level position. Nice To Haves

  • FAA Airframe and/or Power-plant certification.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise understanding and interpreting stringent customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated experience building complex or high-detail assemblies.
  • Drilling, reaming, honing and match-drilling to precise hole sizes.
  • Using arbor press and hydraulic press to shrink-fit install bearings, bushings and other components.
  • Sealant application and precise sealant mixture by weight or volume ratio.
  • Interpret customer specifications to implement requirements for the installation of aerospace rivets, crimps, bolts or custom hardware.
  • Use of precision inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, torque testers, mega-ohmmeters, and height gauges.
  • Pass and maintain yearly internal aerospace certifications.
  • Familiarity with controlled material traceability and limited-life material requirements.
