As a Mechanical Engineer Sr., you will: Generate and release design disclosure drawings & models as well as revisions using CAD software (CREO) Work under the direction of other mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems including mechanisms and ordnance Support technical trade studies and design maturation efforts in order to optimize Aeroshell parts in regards to requirements, weight, and producibility Participate in hardware defect/issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely execution Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities Create technical presentations and write whitepapers supporting design reviews and customer provided hardware acceptance Collaborate with manufacturing personnel on design for manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) To promote the sharing of ideas, we at Lockheed Martin champion an inclusive work environment that supports differences and big-picture thinking. Requirements

Experience in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline with knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts and processes
Experience utilizing Creo software and/or similar experience
Ability to perform Foundational skills performing GD&T
Ability to work in a reciprocal and team-based environment
Willingness to travel when required.
Ability to obtain a Government issued security clearance, must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

Active Security Clearance
Experience designing mechanisms
Experience with ordnance
User of CREO CAD software
Familiar with releasing drawings in EPDM 9.1
CPE delegate experience
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Experience with higher DSR modeling (DSR4-6)
Experience executing Trade Studies
Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
Experience with Q-Notes & non-discrepant hardware resolution
