Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Service Life Analysis Engineer. In this role, you will conduct durability (fatigue) and damage tolerance (fracture) analysis required to certify that the airframe structure meets its contractual service life requirements, provide the structural analysis and source data to safely and economically manage the fleet through its entire life cycle, and use crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, drawing review, and prepare analysis reports. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of programming languages and Microsoft Office and the ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical degree with applicable experience
  • Experience with programming languages such as MatLab, VBA, Visual Studio, or Python
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD or CAE applications
  • Previous internship/co-op experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
