Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Structural Design Engineer. In this role, you will conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the primary and secondary structure and assembly; design, develop, and finalize structural arrangements and layouts with systems interfaces; develop structural design standard parts and fastener selection; and create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations. The successful candidate will have experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering
Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or other CAD applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

Experience with metallic and composite design
Experience with hand stress analysis for preliminary sizing
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office
