About The Position

At Patriot Broadband Construction LLC dba Patriot Broadband Technologies, an Aerial Telecom Ground Hand works with the aerial construction team and assists with aerial strand, fiber installation and maintenance activities. This role supports manual tasks such as transporting materials, preparing job sites for work activities, and operating bucket trucks. The Aerial Telecom Ground Hand also directs traffic flow and is responsible for ensuring safe operating practices personally and for the team as a whole.

Requirements

3+ years relevant industry experience
HS diploma/ GED and additional training (either OJT or technical)
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass ongoing criminal background checks per requirements of contracts, Motor Vehicle Records checks, pre-employment and random drug screenings and obtain a DOT Medical Card
Physical ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds or more, climb into and out of equipment, and work at heights of 20 ft

Nice To Haves

A climbing certificate is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret fiber schematics, HFC maps and engineering plans
Operate telecom construction equipment and use standard telecom tools
Assist with loading and unloading equipment and various materials
Knowledge of OSP construction safety practices as they pertain to HFC/ CATV OSP projects
Willing to travel to work sites with the line crew throughout the mid-Atlantic region, Vermont or other states as needed to perform work for Patriot Broadband Construction. Travel is usually on a 1 week or 2 week assignment.
