About The Position

We are looking for Aerial Groundman local to the Austin & Porter, TX area to support our operations from the ground floor! This position reports to the Director of Operations and represents an excellent opportunity to join an active, well-funded team, gain valuable experience, and advance your career as GRC grows.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Aerial Lineman in telecom or utility construction.
• Proficiency in using aerial construction tools and equipment.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures, including fall protection and electrical safety.
• Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in telecom, construction, or utility work (a plus but not required).
• Familiarity with safety standards, including OSHA and traffic control regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist aerial linemen with materials, tools, and equipment during the installation and maintenance of overhead fiber optic and telecom networks.
• Load, unload, and organize tools and materials at job sites.
• Operate basic equipment such as reel trailers, pulling machines, and small tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site by properly storing materials and disposing of waste.
• Provide traffic control and safety support as needed.
• Perform basic inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow directions from foremen and linemen to complete tasks efficiently.
• Adhere to all company and safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
