We’re looking for a skilled AE Animatic Comp Artist to join our editorial and creative team on a high-profile mixed-medium feature film project. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for storytelling, motion design, and a deep understanding of cinematic pacing. You will be responsible for animating complex animatic sequences using a wide range of media including drawn storyboards, CG elements, and live-action shoot footage. Working closely with the lead editors and the creative leadership, you’ll help bring early visual storytelling to life and build a clear and compelling blueprint for final production. Work location: Remote

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects
• Experience working with a range of media (2D storyboards, CG renders, live footage)
• Strong storytelling skills and understanding of film language
• Ability to work within an editorial pipeline and respond quickly to creative feedback
• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
• Experience working on animatics, previs, or editorial storyboards for film, TV, or animation projects

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and/or 3D software (Maya, Blender, etc.)
• Background in filmmaking, animation, or motion graphics
• Experience on hybrid or mixed-media productions

Responsibilities

• Animate storyboards, CG, and mixed media elements in After Effects and other relevant software
• Integrate and composite various assets to create a cohesive animatic sequence
• Support the editorial and creative teams in assembling and refining story reels
• Apply cinematic principles (timing, framing, staging, pacing) to storytelling sequences
• Incorporate feedback efficiently
• Ensure continuity, clarity, and emotional intent are carried through in animated sequences
