About The Position

IDLO internship programmes are designed to provide a mutually beneficial relationship between IDLO and university students, young graduates, post-graduate students, or persons similarly situated. IDLO offers interns an exceptional learning experience in an international organization and increases their awareness and knowledge of legal issues in the development arena. Internships also benefit IDLO by allowing participants to contribute their skills and competencies to the realization of IDLO’s strategic goals and mission. Interns are fully involved in the work programme of the Unit or Department that has selected them to carry out assignments relevant to their studies and experiences under the supervision of IDLO staff. This internship is on a part-time basis and is expected to start in May 2026. IDLO will provide the selected intern with a monthly stipend of US$500, but does not cover travel arrangements, living, or accommodation expenses. This is a primarily remote position, with occasional in-person attendance required at the New York Office for UN conferences and IDLO events. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States, as IDLO is unable to sponsor visas. Internships are offered for two/three months and are renewable up to a maximum of 6 months. The Advocacy Intern will report to the Advocacy Analyst and support the work of the Unit.
