About The Position

This position will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of districtwide college and career readiness systems currently in procurement, ensuring schools have the tools, processes, and systems needed to deliver high-quality advising and student attainment of postsecondary goals. This role is responsible for establishing and operationalizing a districtwide career advising strategy—an area not currently supported centrally—by defining system expectations, aligning cross-departmental efforts, and ensuring coherent implementation across schools to connect education, workforce pathways, and long-term economic mobility while keeping postsecondary options visible for all students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field Required
  • 5-7 years Experience in college and career readiness, postsecondary advising, or related work in K–12 education, with opportunities to lead or contribute to schoolwide or cross-team initiative Required
  • Ability to lead project management and strategic planning for districtwide systems and processes, including coordination of implementation, resource allocation, and ongoing monitoring. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to coordinate and implement districtwide college and career readiness initiatives, including team coordination, planning, and alignment across schools and departments. (High proficiency)
  • Ability to analyze data, make decisions, and lead continuous improvement through critical thinking, problem-solving, and evaluation of program effectiveness. (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and oversee professional learning, including organization of training, development of staff capacity, and monitoring of implementation. (Medium proficiency)
  • Ability to coordinate work across departments and stakeholder groups, build collaborative relationships, and manage complex initiatives involving multiple teams. (High proficiency)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage CCR Systems: Own the design, coordination, and ongoing management of districtwide CCR systems, including development of tools, processes, and implementation structures that define school-level expectations and ensure alignment with district priorities to ensure alignment with district priorities and effective use across school sites. Requires strong communication, coordination across related CCR teams, problem-solving, and data-based decision making. Accountable for system effectiveness, adoption, and continuous improvement across school sites.
  • Lead Career Advising Implementation: Lead the implementation of district career advising structures, including planning, resource development, and cross-school support to ensure consistent delivery of workforce, career exploration, and dual-pathway planning practices.
  • Promote Postsecondary Access for All: Lead districtwide initiatives that promote equitable access to postsecondary opportunities by developing, implementing, and monitoring advising systems aligned to district goals.
  • Lead CCR Platform Integration: Own the implementation, integration, and ongoing operation of CCR platforms, including coordination with vendors, IT, and school staff to ensure effective system use and alignment with district strategy. This includes direct vendor management relationships, budget development, coordination with IT and school staff, resource allocation, and ongoing cross-divisional project management to drived student outcomes and systems adoption.
  • Build School Staff Capacity: Design and oversee district supports that build school staff capacity to meet CCR milestones (e.g., transition planning, FAFSA, applications, career assessments), including development of resources, communication systems, and implementation timelines.
  • Lead Professional Learning Strategy: Plan, coordinate, and oversee Design and oversee professional learning related to CCR systems, including scheduling, resource allocation, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Lead cross departmental Departments: Lead cross-departmental planning and implementation efforts to ensure alignment of CCR systems across Counseling, Career Academies, Advanced Academics, IT, Data, and other district team, serving as central point of accountability for alignment and execution.
  • Use Data to Inform Improvement: Monitor implementation data, evaluate system effectiveness, and lead continuous improvement efforts through planning, problem-solving, and adjustment of district CCR processes. Requires ongoing data analysis and data use to drive future planning.
