About The Position

As an Advisor II, Category Management supporting Corporate Services at Phillips 66, you will turn data and market insights into sourcing strategies that create lasting value for our business. You will lead sourcing, contracting, and supplier management activities for key corporate services categories, partnering closely with stakeholders and suppliers to deliver competitive cost, service, and risk outcomes.

  • 2 or more years of relevant working experience in category management, procurement, and/or sourcing
  • Intermediate proficiency with data collection and analysis

  • 5 or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, engineering, or related business roles
  • Proven success negotiating commercial contracts that deliver cost savings, value, and effective risk mitigation
  • Experience managing corporate services categories and partnering with corporate business stakeholders
  • Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP and iCertis
  • Experience using business intelligence and data analysis tools to generate insights and recommendations for category strategies
  • Experience coordinating the work of others or leading cross-functional initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing and contracting activities for corporate services categories, from requirements gathering through negotiation and contract execution, to deliver optimal pricing, terms, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and execute category plans aligned with procurement strategy and business roadmaps, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and value creation.
  • Analyze category, supplier, and market data to create insights and reports that inform decisions on pricing, performance, and commercial strategies.
  • Partner with corporate stakeholders as a procurement business partner to understand business needs, align on policies and processes, and resolve operational issues across invoicing, shipping, and service delivery.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of supplier relationships, including performance measurement, scorecards, service-level compliance, and regular business reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor external trends, market developments, and regulatory or industry changes to assess potential impact on assigned categories and recommend adjustments to sourcing and category plans.
  • Provide information and business advice to internal stakeholders by interpreting complex contracts, policies, and processes, escalating when specialized interpretation is required.
  • Support stakeholder relationship management by coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with Phillips 66 standards, including ethics, compliance, and safety expectations.
