Birmingham Mind is a leading provider of mental health services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. This role involves providing support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties through Birmingham Mind’s helpline service, which serves the Birmingham and Solihull area. The support includes handling calls, emails, and webchats from people in crisis, those seeking general assistance and information about services, carers looking for advice, and other community support services. The Helpline Worker will provide appropriate referrals and signposting to Birmingham Mind services and external partner agencies. The role requires a community-focused approach, maintaining effective links with statutory and local organizations and staying updated on local provision changes. The helpline operates 7 days a week from 9 am to 11 pm. The successful candidate will support the service's operation under the direction of the service manager, adhering to contractual requirements, Birmingham Mind's Vision and Values, operating policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
