About The Position

Position is that of a working manager responsible for the conceptualization, creation, design, and management of internal and external advertising for properties, to include but not limited to, promotions, special events, entertainment, and corporate sales.

Requirements

  • The need for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position.
  • Must have prior experience with B/W and color ads for newspapers and magazines, special event and entertainment posters, direct mail pieces, corporate identity, billboards, signage, apparel, and other miscellaneous items.
  • Must be proficient in use of Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel, and Word.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphics or closely related field, prior supervisory level work, and five or more years of hands-on experience in the graphics field.
  • An Associate’s Degree and the equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the tribe.
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of job-related machines and/or office equipment.
  • Must be able to move or carry job-related objects or materials.
  • Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary or office environment.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK PRODUCTIVELY UNDER STRICT TIME RESTRAINTS WITH VARIABLE DEADLINES.
  • Native American and Tribal Preference will apply.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and to take on additional responsibilities when asked.
  • Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.

  • Experience with web design software a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide concept, design, coordination and management of internal and external advertising efforts.
  • Implement, input and coordinate production calendar.
  • Manage advertising budgets.
  • Act as liaison with sales representatives.
  • Coordinate advertising buys for property.
  • Coordinate advertising contracts for signing.
  • Objectively reviews artist’s work to ensure accuracy and quality of content, layout/design.
  • Coordinate, design, art direct billboard signage and corporate publications.
  • Provide support for direct team including art direction for staff.
  • Responsible for proofing all content and artwork the team and supporting agencies provide.
  • Assist with new photo imaging for the property.
  • Prepare requisition job/work orders appropriately.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Fulfill requests of other departments to include Signage, Logo requests (send to vendors), Posters, Corporate sales.
  • Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of operations.
  • Other related duties assigned by Marketing Director.
  • Direct supervision of 2-3 hourly employees
  • Task delegation to achieve maximum results
  • Reinforcement of policies and procedures
  • Monitor department expenditures
  • Interview, hire, evaluate, terminate, and maintain employee timekeeping and disciplinary records.
  • Attend seminars and assigned classes for increased job knowledge
  • Assist in the planning and organization of all departmental functions
  • Maintain open lines of communication with other departments and within the department itself.
  • Assist in creating and administering a mentoring program within the department
  • Oversee departmental training procedures and evaluate effectiveness of the training program
