By effectively building positive rapport and relationships both internally and externally, the successful candidate will help us achieve our mission that together we deliver services that make a difference in our community. Reporting to the Manager, Advertising and Sponsorship Sales, you will play a key role in advancing the Town’s economic development initiatives by building corporate partnerships, generating non-tax revenue, and enhancing the visibility of municipal programs, facilities, and events.

Requirements

  • A two (2) year college diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in sponsorship, advertising, or partnership coordination—preferably in a municipal or public-sector environment
  • A high level of independent judgment to facilitate agreements, interpret policy, manage risk, and resolve issues involving multiple stakeholders. It also requires sustained concentration, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • High level of professionalism with clients, vendors and corporate partners
  • Skilled in contract administration, deliverable tracking, and financial data management
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Acrobat and Canva
  • Experienced in financial tracking, spreadsheets, and reporting
  • Knowledgeable in CRM, contract management, sponsorship databases
  • Familiar with website content platforms
  • Understanding of invoicing, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes
  • Able to operate audio-visual equipment and manage digital assets

Responsibilities

  • Administer advertising and sponsorship agreements, including renewals, amendments, and contract close-outs
  • Support the development of sponsorship proposals, advertising packages and promotional materials
  • Draft clear and engaging marketing copy, reports, and sponsor communications
  • Research and identify prospective corporate partners aligned with municipal priorities and initiatives
  • Coordinate and manage advertising placements across signage, digital platforms, publications, and municipal facilities
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of advertising and sponsorship commitments
  • Track contracts, invoices, payments and deliverables to ensure all contractual requirements are fulfilled
  • Prepare financial summaries, performance reports, and analytics to monitor advertising and sponsorship revenue against budget targets
  • Review advertising materials to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with municipal branding standards
  • Verify quotes, production details, and installation specifications with vendors and contractors
  • Respond to inquiries from sponsors, vendors, and the members of the public in a professional and timely manner
  • Resolve issues related to advertising placements, contracts, and installations
  • Ensure compliance with municipal policies, procurement procedures, accessibility standards, and branding guidelines
  • Provide on-site event support, including sponsor coordination, as required
