About The Position
Join our team of big mountain adventurers at the largest ski resort in Washington, Crystal Mountain. As an Adventure Guide, you will motivate, delight, and guide guests on daily adventures throughout the Crystal Mountain great outdoors, providing excellent experiences and memories. Primary activities include the aerial adventure course, climbing wall, and mining sluice, with other guided activities supporting group sales and events. Requirements
- Basic First Aid & CPR Required
- All guides must complete mandatory Aerial Course training in spring.
- High energy, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Basic knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
Nice To Haves
- EMT /WFR/WFA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead our guests on outdoor excursions including: guided interpretive hikes, aerial ropes course, and other activities as assigned.
- Help conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the aerial ropes course.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including trail work, sign making, and supporting other departments projects.
- Respond to customer concerns / questions
- Contribute to a positive working environment
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working environment
- Promote and ensure safe practices using all required PPE and adhering to proper safety protocols in all activities
- Inspect equipment for safety concerns
- Promote and market activity options to our guests
- Help oversee stock levels and alert management when supplies are needed
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings and necessary trainings
- Gather guest feedback and recommend improvements to management
- Establish pre-function side work to be performed and make sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifying the Manager of any issues.
- Use and understand Points of Sale.
- Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service by anticipating the needs of our guests even before they realize what they need
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management.
- Notify supervisor of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items or alleged thefts.
- Develop and maintain an organizational culture, values and reputation with staff and guests.
- Ensure a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment.
- Act as a representative of Crystal Mountain with guests & community members.
- Abide by all Crystal Mountain employment guidelines.
- Off mountain shifts supporting group sales & events may occasionally be.
- Other duties as assigned
