At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.. The Role At the Noise & Vibration (N&V) Center, we are responsible integration of vehicle level performance to meet customer expectation for N&V performance. This includes the up-front development of vehicle level and subsystem requirements for all of components we use for both ICE and BEV applications. Developing these requirements is critical to how our customers perceive our vehicles from both a quality and overall performance perspective. With our transition to EVs a renewed focus on having a very quiet vehicle will be critical to our customer perception and will be a huge part of our overall success in EVs. The ideal N&V Center Advanced Vehicle Development (AVD) Integration Engineer will have an interest in having a wide variety in their work content. They will also be interested in working cross functionally with multiple SMTs and the broader Performance Integration Team. This job will provide a mix of lab development work, SMT support, Global Validation support, and Interactions with the Quality and MFG organizations. N&V Center AVD Integration Engineer will be a part of the team transforming how GM handles component level N&V performance and development in a “Virtual Integration” environment. The AVD Integration Engineer will need to learn about our current AVD and Vehicle integration processes with the intent to be part of the team that will be working to modernize our development techniques. For this specific role, there will be significant time spent at Studio working on shape development with design & aero teams, and working on implementing the aero acoustic CFD process for virtual shape development with a focus on wind noise. This role will have it’s primary reporting location at the Kelly Aero Lab in Warren, MI (80%) with the remaining time spent at Milford Proving Grounds (MPG).
