The Effectors Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Discipline consists of System Engineering, System Integration & Test, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Lifecycle Engineering for Effectors. The Effectors System Engineering: Advanced Technology (AT) department is seeking a Manager, Systems Engineering – Advanced Technology System Engineering Section Lead. As the Manager, Systems Engineering – Advanced Technology System Engineering Section Lead, you will provide direct supervision to a team of engineers, guiding them towards achieving departmental goals. You will also assist the department in solving system engineering problems to support, drive, and enable key business captures, current programs, special projects, and wide-ranging business opportunities. This is an onsite position located in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • System Engineering experience on missile applications for customer programs.
  • Experience working with missile systems requirements, interfaces, or architecture development and management
  • Technical and/or functional Engineering leadership experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • Experience with hardware/software integration.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Advanced Technology portfolios.
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Experience developing and mentoring new employees.
  • Experience communicating with different levels of employees, departments, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • You will act as a key manager and mentor for 10 - 15 Systems Engineers.
  • You will influence, foster teamwork, and enable interdependent execution.
  • You will participate in talent acquisition, goal setting, performance development, and appraisal of assigned employees.
