About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Janitorial Lead Cleaner (Section Lead) to help oversee and support our evening cleaning operations. This key role leads a section of the janitorial team, ensuring assigned tasks are completed to the highest standard while maintaining a clean and safe environment. You’ll work hands‑on while also guiding, training, and supporting other cleaning staff throughout your shift.

Requirements

  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred; supervisory or team‑lead experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and personal commitment to quality work.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and operate basic cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a section of the cleaning crew during your shift.
  • Assign daily cleaning duties and coordinate work flow to meet quality standards.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and report progress or issues to management.
  • Help train and mentor new janitorial staff and provide guidance on proper procedures and equipment use.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
  • Clean restrooms, common areas, and break rooms thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained and stored properly.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout your shift to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met consistently.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, supply shortages, or safety hazards.
  • Help enforce company policies and maintain a professional work environment.
