About The Position

This position will support process improvement and innovation for the Acetate Tow business. The primary function is to provide technical support by operating lab pilot-scale equipment according to a provided trial plan or procedure.

Requirements

• HS Diploma
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Outstanding safety awareness
• Overall mechanical ability, with enhance troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to accept new challenges
• Ability to work and successfully communicate with diverse teams
• Excellent interpersonal organization skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks with limited supervision and significant time constraints.
• Computer skills and the effective use of Microsoft Office products relating to data manipulation and report generation are required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Acetate Manufacturing, associated quality parameters, and product requirements desirable
• Self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Acetate T&I Engineers by completing routine and non-routine trials in the Acetate T&I pilot plants, Acetate T&I process labs, and plant production areas.
• Plan, procure, set up, and modify equipment and instrumentation to execute trials.
• Communicate both with Celanese and external parties.
• Assemble data and report results while interfacing with engineers, technicians, EHS, operations, vendors, and project work teams.
• Maintain fundamental knowledge of safety best practices for pilot plant and / or process laboratories.
