Advanced Systems Engineer - Operational Support

As an Advanced Systems Engineer for FBM Operational Support, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring the supportability of the SSBN and SSGN platforms.
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
- Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities
- Independently generate and maintain equipment service life evaluation tools
- Success leading equipment sustainment evaluations utilizing industry and historical information, identifying critical at-risk components, and generating risk mitigation plans
- Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and evaluation methodologies to develop equipment sustainment solutions
- Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
