About The Position

The Advanced Shipping Associate is responsible for executing complex shipping operations, including processing, documentation, classified material handling, and freight coordination to ensure accurate and compliant outbound logistics.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA Degree or related certification preferred
  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance required at time of hire
  • Minimum 4 years of related shipping/logistics experience, preferably in manufacturing or defense environments
  • Experience handling classified materials and working within regulated shipping environments
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, sky track, cranes)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and shipping documentation systems
  • Position requires 100% on-site work in Canonsburg, PA

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Working knowledge of freight claims and cost tracking
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Process outgoing shipments including finished goods, raw materials, assemblies, parts, equipment, and building materials
  • Prepare, package, label, and document materials in accordance with company and government shipping requirements
  • Handle and ship classified materials in compliance with DoD regulations
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, invoices, and bills of lading
  • Coordinate freight logistics, track shipments, and respond to internal and external shipping inquiries
  • File freight claims for lost or damaged materials
  • Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, sky tracks, and cranes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within shipping and logistics operations
