Advanced Research Associate (Luminex Operations) By joining the Bio-Techne team, you will have an impact on future cutting-edge research. Bio-Techne and its brands provide tools for researchers in Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics. Position Summary: Bio-Techne’s Luminex Operations manufactures made-to-order Luminex Multiplexing Assays that allow researchers to perform studies on a variety of different diseases that are critical for drug discoveries and clinical studies. As an Advanced Research Associate in Luminex Operations, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes within various Luminex made-to-order assay platforms and to ensure quick product turnaround, high quality, and customer satisfaction. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent required with 2 to 5 years of laboratory experience or a master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g. pipettes, centrifuge, computers, etc.)
  • Ability to handle complex and repetitive tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
  • Capability to work in a fast-faced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy.
  • Proficiency in professional communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform work independently on routine assignments or projects and work with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate microparticle and biotin cocktails for made-to-order Luminex multiplex assays according to established SOPs.
  • Perform qualification of Luminex assay components including microparticles and biotins stocks.
  • Troubleshooting of non-confirming Luminex assays with increasing independence and complexity.
  • Draft change plans and non-conformance reports as required.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, assist with new equipment onboarding, and assist with troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Manage information and data in batch records, spreadsheets, computer databases, paper documentation, etc.
  • Assist with SOP and document revision.
  • Follow guidelines for company safety, quality, training procedures, and regulation policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
