Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The NSMS Naval SSBU seeks an experienced Advanced Program Executive manager. In this role you will serve as the delegate to the Program Manager; assist in meeting contractual commitments, including financial, technical, and schedule performance of assigned program(s) within contractual boundaries and company expectations. In addition, this person will also be expected to work closely with and influence PMOs and functional contributors to ensure alignment and consistency through key portfolio initiatives. You will assist with providing tactical oversite and direction to maintain program cadence to ensure contract and company requirements, deliverable and reporting that are met using the approved business model and management tools using EVMS, RLPM and PRISM, etc. This is an onsite position at our McKinney, TX facility. Relocation assistance is NOT currently available.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Prior experience in program, or project management
  • Prior leadership/management
  • Experience with financial analysis tools and/or systems
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Raytheon Program Management Certification Level 6 Certification or ability to obtain within a year
  • EVMS Certification
  • Demonstrated program execution experience managing program staffing, assignments and resources
  • Certified BOE Developer / Approver
  • Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, and management

Responsibilities

  • Lead/assist with the daily program cadence (battle rhythm), such as risk and opportunity boards, schedule performance management, customer reviews, program management reviews, preparation for customer visits, execution reviews, staffing reviews, and decision reviews to achieve contract commitments.
  • Develop partnerships with internal functional organizations (typically organized into integrated product teams (IPTs) including but not limited to Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, and administrative functions
  • Lead or participate in key program cadence activities including, critical chain, and monthly financial reporting, and schedule reviews
  • Act as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the PMO and coordinate the broader functional team during EAC development, with the potential to oversee the entire EAC process
  • Expected to support domestic travel as needed
