About The Position

VIVO Infusion is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join their team of dynamic healthcare professionals across all Pennsylvania Clinics. This hybrid role offers a flexible work environment, combining days in Pennsylvania clinics with the opportunity to work from home. The Advanced Practitioner will be crucial in overseeing infusion care provided by nurses in physician-based ambulatory infusion centers via telehealth as needed. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining individualized care plans for all referred patients, ensuring safe and effective care during infusion procedures. The role also involves serving as the primary clinical liaison between referring physician's offices and the infusion center, providing critical team support, and evaluating patient needs throughout treatment. The successful candidate will deliver compassionate care in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and guidelines, all within their scope of practice. This position offers a flexible, dynamic opportunity to significantly impact patient care.

Requirements

Must have a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in the state in which service is provided.
Must have current DEA license.
Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs.
Intermediate computer skills, MS Office.
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.

Nice To Haves

ONC Certified, preferred
Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
1-3 years in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Reviews and evaluates clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admits appropriate patients for infusion.
Evaluates newly referred patients and develops initial plans of care.
Monitors plans of care and makes necessary changes.
Performs pertinent physicals exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirms suitability for infusion.
Reviews all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
Requests diagnostic and lab studies of the referring physician upon evaluation of the patient as needed.
Recognizes situations which require the immediate attention of a physician and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary.
Consults with the supervising Medical Director as is necessary.
Documents infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
Dictates or documents notes in the electronic medical record.
Promotes company quality outcome initiatives.
Delegates responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
Follows company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
Carries out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
Provides patient education and answers questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
Enforces all HIPAA compliance guidelines.
