About The Position

Coastal Orthopedics is seeking a skilled and compassionate ARNP to join our Shoulder & Elbow specialty team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with orthopedic physicians in both clinic and surgical settings, providing high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the full treatment journey.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) program
• Active Florida ARNP license (required)
• National board certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP)
• Minimum 1 year of ARNP experience (orthopedic experience preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience in orthopedic, hospital, or outpatient settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, including comprehensive histories and physical exams (new, established, pre-op, post-op)
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies
• Develop and manage treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Provide pre-operative optimization and post-operative follow-up care
• Assist in the operating room as appropriate (based on training, experience, and facility protocols)
• Perform inpatient rounds, consults, and discharge planning
• Prescribe medications in accordance with Florida regulations and organizational policies
• Monitor post-operative recovery, including wound care, DME coordination, and therapy referrals
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Participate in call rotation (1–2 weeks per month)
