About The Position

Capital Health Plan (CHP) is a nationally recognized, non-for-profit health maintenance organization committed to delivering high-quality, affordable care to our community. We are seeking an experienced APRN or PA to join our Urgent Care Team, where clinical excellence and collaboration are core to how care is delivered. About Our Company Capital Health Plan (CHP) is a not-for-profit mixed-model health maintenance organization (HMO) that offers employer group and Medicare Advantage plans. We are nationally recognized for providing high-quality care at low administrative costs and are known for our high patient satisfaction scores. CHP serves members of all ages with a dedicated urgent care clinic for medical care that members consider urgent when their primary care provider is unavailable or after hours. Urgent Care APRNs or PAs work independently but always work with a physician colleague. The facility is modern and state-of-the-art, featuring onsite x-rays, ultrasounds, EKG, and a stat lab. About Our Physician Group The Physician Group of Capital Health Plan (PGCHP) provides comprehensive health care for our patients of all ages, genders, and conditions. Our priority is focused around promoting disease prevention and healthy living. The PGCHP is a primary care practice providing care exclusively to Capital Health Plan members. It boasts amazing longevity, as many of the physicians have been with the practice for over 20 years. This has encouraged new physicians to choose to join the practice, so that we may continue to thrive for years to come. About Our Tallahassee Community Florida's Big Bend region -- home of the state's capital -- is among Florida's most livable communities, with something for everyone, from outdoor enthusiasts to sports fans to lovers of the arts. Leon County is also home to a large aging population: Almost one in five Leon County residents is age 60 or older, and the State of Florida projects that this population will grow by a remarkable 35 percent over the next 12 years, making it the county's fastest growing population segment. Tallahassee has been ranked among the top livable cities in Florida, in part thanks to a cost of living 5.5% below the national average and an excellent school system. The variety of people who call it home - from students and families to legislators and athletes- make it a prime spot for new business ventures, especially with the city boasting the fastest growing economy per capita of any Florida city. Three universities support lifelong and cutting edge research. And Florida's capital city is home to a thriving medical community, centered around two full-service hospitals and Capital Health Plan, one of the nation's highest-rated health plans. There is nothing quite like an autumn Saturday in one of our cities two college football stadiums, where the community comes together to cheer on Florida State University or Florida A&M University. If you enjoy communing with nature, no other city in Florida has more running and walking trails. Tallahassee is also home to nationally recognized parks. Cascades Park, just steps from downtown, hosts everything from concerts to festivals to open-air movie screenings -plus cultural opportunities galore, including the Museum of Florida History and numerous art galleries. Come see why Tallahassee is the perfect blend of history and community, an ideal place to work and play, and -- like the stately live oak trees it is nestled under -- a great place to put down roots.
