Advanced Practice Provider - Electrophysiology Services - Glenbrook Hospital
About The Position
Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) as an APP in Electrophysiology. Clinical Responsibilities Under the direction of collaborating physician(s), the APP provides comprehensive patient care. Performs histories and physical examinations; orders and interprets diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studies; and prescribes medications and other therapies as appropriate. Educates patients on treatment plans in pre- and post-procedure settings and is responsible for accurate, timely documentation through medical record updates and daily progress notes. Ensures continuity of care across clinic and hospital settings in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Practices in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and in alignment with Endeavor Health Policies.
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
- Completion of Master’s level program as PA or NP
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- 1 year prior APN/PA experience in the subspecialty of Electrophysiology or related Cardiovascular Specialty
- Specialized skill in electrophysiology care encompassing complex arrhythmia management, EP lab workflows, and advanced cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
- Strong understanding of patient selection, peri-procedural management, and longitudinal follow up
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience in Electrophysiology or related cardiovascular specialty.
- Experience working in complex, high-acuity procedural environments.
- Device management including interrogation and optimization is a plus.
